In 2001 a few local people set up a small tent under the 

24-7 prayer banner on site to pray for the Festival

It was the year of Eminem and Marilyn Manson - a preacher's kid would you believe!

 

Not a good year

Sunday night saw a lot of damage

 

Not just individuals but crowds on the rampage

A Watchtower was torn down

Lighting cables were pulled down

A whole portable toilet block

was set on fire

and burned for ages

occasionally exploding

By morning all that was left 

were a few metal frames 

and melted plastic

There was rubbish everywhere

Employment for someone

But somehow such a shame

It encouraged us to pray all the more that the Festival would change over time and become a safer event

Mean Fiddler do a fine job in clearing the site every year
